Trivia All Stars

fun games trivia for all stars

Simple Game Rules

1.  Numbers ten and under written in text ie.  one, two, etc.  Numbers over ten numerical 11,12, etc.

2.  No abbreviations.  USA and UK only exceptions.

3.  Surnames suffice unless the reader asks for both names. Occasionally reader may accept Elvis for Presley.

4.  On music listen carefully to the quizzer..They will ask you what they are looking for..Just title, both title and artist same line, or title artist separate lines.

5. Now for the most important rule.  HAVE FUN.

@@@Please Note@@@@  If you are going to read a quiz, please make sure that the questions or music you are going to present is international in nature..ie Do not play all of one genre of music or ask questions that are all american, all british, all canadian, all australian.. examples of questions not to ask..What big ten school scored the most touchdowns in 1977?(our friends in europe and australia know nothing about the big ten)  or  Which Lord minister of England did so and so on such and such date?(sorry was hard for me to come up with a too british question as an example..lol)

How We Play

1.First three correct answers  are awarded points. Due to the severe lag often experienced on paltalk answers are accepted as they are seen on the reader's screen.  The scorekeeper will only accept the scores given to them by the reader.   2 points for the person who answers first, 1 point for the person who answers second, and 1 point for the person who answers third.  Games end at 50 points.  May differ on some specialty games.

2.  STARS type in the green or black (no neons) vs. STARLETS  type in the red or dark pink font(the red that is two rows down extreme left on the color palette or dark pink that is three rows down extreme right on the color palette. Occasionally we switch sides to help the other team if they are losing really really bad.                                                                                                                                                                                                                    3.  All readers are welcome. When we ask for readers of the next game just click the raise hand icon to reserve your spot to read. We typically ask for readers when the game score gets to the 40point mark. Please do not raise your hand to volunteer until the game has reached this point.  The first two hands up will read the next quiz.  The first person with hand up chooses to read trivia or play music. If you were the second hand up and wanted to do music and the first person chose music, please wait to read the next quiz so we don't have two people doing music.

4. Now the most important rule that we expect everyone to follow. HAVE FUN.

Player Conduct

1.  Ask in text  to PM other people in the room.

2.  Please don't jump the mic mid quiz.

3.  Un g rated screen names will be automatically bounced.  Some names can be borderline and this will be solely to the discretion of the working admin.

4.  We all have various areas of interest or taste in music so just sit back relax and enjoy what is being presented without being insulting to the person who is presenting the material.

5.  Extreme swearing will not be tolerated and subject to bounce or subsequent ban.  We are a g rated room so we need to make the damns/darn etc.

Note on New Readers

Everyone is welcome to read quizzes in this room.  Many people sit in trivia rooms and think wow I'd love to read a quiz but I might not be good at it or what if they don't like my questions or I might mess up the scoring.  First we love anyone who volunteers to read that is a huge first step to take.  Second as far as the questions you can't please everyone all the time but at least you got up to read.  Third the owners and admins are more than happy to help you along with the scoring.  So come on don't be shy give reading a try.  If at first you're not comfortable doing a full quiz, give a go at one of our down the line quizzes where you just try out one or two questions during a game.
